Andy Gaur, Founder and CEO
Andy Gaur, a technology sector professional, founded his first company, Compunnel Software Group, Inc., in 1989. Beginning with a personal investment of $110,000, Andy’s entrepreneurial drive quickly turned the company into one of the fastest growing software and consulting organizations, serving several Fortune 1000 companies and notching up over $25 million in annual sales. The five successive years saw triple digit revenue growth, and in 1997, Compunnel ranked 39 on Inc. Magazine's '500 fastest growing companies' survey.
Andy's success is underlined by the numerous awards he has received, three of which are Enterprise Company of the Year from the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey,Internet Innovator Award, and Internet Excellence Award from Technology New Jersey Inc. Andy has funded seven startup information technology companies, all of which are wholly or partially owned by Compunnel Software Group, Inc. He holds executive or board positions in each of these companies. Ficon, a communication software firm started by Andy, began with an initial investment of $250,000 and sold for over $200 million. Andy’s presence among New Jersey's top 40 business people under age 40 as short listed by both Business News New Jersey and New Jersey Monthly is recognition of his techno-preneurial foresight.
Andy heads InfoPro Learning which has been providing IT consulting, application development, and learning services for more than 17 years. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.
Arun Prakash, Vice President - Strategic Relationships, US
Arun has over 14 years of experience in the business of learning solution development and consulting. Arun's technology interests include XML and mobile platforms.
Arun played an instrumental role at InfoPro in launching a LAN-based LMS built on Microsoft technology. He also developed and launched the J2EE-based LMS/LCMS in 2002. A quality-oriented person, Arun also set up the SEI-CMM process framework for learning development in 2000, which ultimately led to the award of ISO Certification in 2002.
A Masters in Computer Engineering from Moscow Government University (Russia), Arun has been closely associated with many of the company's technology initiatives.
Sonia Wadhwa, Executive Vice President, India
Sonia Wadhwa has over 17 years of experience in the IT industry, primarily in the field of learning, computer-based training solutions, people and project management, costs and revenues management, and in ensuring timely and quality delivery of learning projects. She carries vast experience in all aspects of content development — instructional strategies, course structure design, instructional design, quality review, and technical/creative writing.
Sonia utilized her business acumen and industry experiences to set up Indian Operations for InfoPro. She was instrumental in setting up the Competence Management System in place, a comprehensive system for enhancing knowledge, skills, ability, attitude, and behavior of employees to enable them to perform their role in a better way. An advocate of quality and streamlined production processes, she introduced assembly line best practices to project Execution Management. Sonia also carries a vast experience of planning and management projects for learning, content development, content / ILT conversion, LMS creation, and development and deployment of engines. Her expertise lies in instructional design, technical writing, and content reviews/content quality assurance.
A Major in Physics, Sonia obtained her masters degree in Computer Applications from Delhi University in 1992.
